Judith Cockram

My paintings are inspired by the landscapes I have explored both on the coast in in the countryside. I enjoy walking and making sketches which I then develop into paintings when I return to the studio. I aim to make fluid and expressive marks that give a ‘sense of’ rather than a representation.

I work in both oils and acrylics.

I returned to making art after retiring from a career in education and completed a BA fine art at Plymouth University in. 2012.
