Jackie Mantle

I moved to Salcombe six years ago and picked up my much neglected paint brushes. My paintings are mainly in acrylics with an emphasis on colour and texture.

I am inspired by the landscape both locally and further afield in Australia. I studied geography at the London School of Economics and find painting continues this link to geomorphology and the built landscape. My work is based around the landscapes I walk aided by my daughter’s beautiful photographs.

As a recent member of Salcombe Art Club I enjoy the wide variety of classes offered and am delighted to have such a facility on my doorstep allowing me to step outside my milieu to explore mixed media, pastel and other such delights.
