Bobbi Fulcher-Smith

Bobbi was born in Los Angeles, California and trained at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, graduating with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in 1983.

During her career in LA she worked as a freelance Art Director, Graphic Designer and Production Manager creating visual art and graphics for print advertising, direct response marketing and the entertainment industry.

After moving to England in 1991 and setting up a studio in Salcombe she began her career as a painter, lecturer and gallery consultant.

Bobbi is inspired by the West Country’s seductive muse and has been painting its outstanding beauty for three decades. Her work covers a wide variety of subjects and styles which include intimate compositions of everyday items, local scenes, privately commissioned views, abstract compositions inspired by nature, light and the passing of time, along with the spaces in between where people arrive and depart, leaving their mark or receding into history.

Bobbi’s paintings have been exhibited through solo, group and open exhibitions and are collected mainly by private individuals who understand and share her passion for painting.
