Anne Murphy

I’ve enjoyed being a member of Salcombe Art Club for about fifteen years mostly in the excellent drawing and watercolour classes with Jenny Johnson who taught me so much.

After attending many printmaking workshops over the years I joined the Pressgang Printmakers who meet on Wednesdays here at the club. I love linocut and woodblock printing, especially the carving, and the more complicated the better because it’s totally absorbing. Printmaking is full of challenges and the results can be unpredictable!

As well as Salcombe Art Club’s Summer Exhibition I have shown my prints at Harbour House in Kingsbridge, Market Hall in Kingsbridge, Birdwood House in Totnes and Slapton Open Gardens.
