As a ceramic artist I use porcelain as a blank canvas for my illustrations. Often, I tell stories on the pots and add quirky ideas. I use plants and animals as inspiration. Pots are thrown on the wheel. Tiles are made using a slab roller.
I invent and make all my own glazes. The colours when applied bear little resemblance to the fired end product so over the years I have done hundreds of glaze tests to understand possible end results. Colour is also influenced by how the kiln is packed, level of reduction and firing time. Sufficient variables to fill a lifetime.

Initially I sold to shops and galleries, did craft fairs every weekend and exhibited when asked to join an exhibition by other local artists. On the back of this I bought my first house and ran my business premises.
Of late I have concentrated on making uniquely illustrated one off pieces including some commissions.
I have exhibited in Blue Ginger Gallery, Malvern, Albany Gallery, Cardiff, New Leaf and Creates Galleries, Monmouth, Heywood Gallery, Chepstow, Helios Gallery, Birmingham and with South Wales Potters in venues throughout Wales, Art in Penalt, International Ceramics Festival, Aberystwyth as well as many more. I was a member of Potters cooperative shop in Bristol and was involved with Forest of Dean Open Studios for many years.
