Julie Talbot-Dunn

Originally from London, Julie studied Art & Design at Barnet College of Art, then at Jacob Kramer, Leeds University.

Now living in Dartington, Julie’s inspiration for her work stems from Devon’s atmospheric moorlands and coasts.

“Shapes, colours and textures inspire abstract interpretations of the world around me”

I like to work on Fabriano papers, and canvases, using collage, acrylic paint and mediums such as gloss or mat.

Drawing is also integral, with use of charcoal, pens, pencils and oil sticks.

Finishing up a painting using oil and cold wax medium can help to create additional interesting layers.
