John Ashton

John has been passionate about wildlife and painting from an early age. He is based on the beautiful Avon estuary in Devon where a lot of his subjects can be seen flying past his studio window. As well as a prolific oil painter he is also a book illustrator and published writer about birdlife. His paintings are sold internationally and he is a regular finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Award.
