Photomontage (One Day Workshop)

A brief introduction followed by going into making small photomontages using cut and paste to get a feel for the medium and its possibilities. There will also be a visual presentation to show how photomontage began as we know it in the early 20th Century in movements like Dada and Cubism. Then we move on to making a bigger, more considered piece which can be a free exploration or to explore a theme / idea like personal history / family photos or historical / political themes or any other subject which interests you. This is also where we can bring in drawing and painting to make mixed media imagery.
