Painting and Drawing from Photographs (Thursdays for Five Weeks)

This course will develop ideas and techniques from your own source material.

This can be from photographs and also drawings or collages.

We will look at composition both figurative and abstract in relation to your chosen images.

We will explore colour through a short presentation and some exercises to differentiate between Hue, Tonal value and Chromatic intensity

We will learn how to translate tone into colour via ‘keying’ and reduction.

We will explore/use/control colour contrast, colour temperature, and chromatic intensity.
