Expand Your Vision as a Painter (Five Mondays)

This course is for oil painters with some experience who want to develop their own individual painting projects, with expert tutor guidance.

• Finding a theme – whether this be from film stills, your own photographs and drawings, or other source material, or setting up an observational project .
• Developing – your use of colour, composition, tone and paint application.
• Focusing on differing approaches – to observational and imaginative work, (using other artists as examples),figurative or abstract, whilst developing skills in how to organise a palette, mix colours and apply paint.

I will give you some trigger words for your ‘Theme’ a month before the course starts if requested.

One day will be spent on an exercise exploring tone and colour.

For those wanting a more project/exercises based course, projects can be tailored to the students individual needs.
