Congratulations!

It’s a proud day for our Club when we can congratulate two of our talented members ( and also Tutors) for having their work accepted into the Royal Academy 2026 Summer Exhibition. Both Ann Chester King and Wendy Elia both run courses at the Club so, if not already done so, sign up.

Ann says- ‘ A safe pair of hands’ is part of a series of paintings about ‘ Care- the unspoken connection’ in which I attempted to capture the acts of care, both in high-tec situations and also with recollections of my Nurse training in the mid 70’s. The common denominator being the essential quality of giving care.

Wendy Elia said – ‘ I was absolutely delighted to have been invited by the Royal Academy to show my painting Croatian Champion ( Marina Malenica ) and the Lithograph – Intersection

In the painting ( Oil on board) the 2 x World and European boxing champion confronts us with her confident, knowing gaze while her trainer Ante Matas wraps her hands.
