Collagraphy is a term for a very broad range of printmaking techniques. It’s particularly suitable for more abstract or patterned images and can be used well in combination with other techniques. This course will look at a range of methods of creating an image by modifying the surface of a printing plate. Some may be familiar some less so. We’ll also look at various inking options to increase the possibilities. A variety of printing papers will be available to add another variable to the mix. I hope also to be able to at least demonstrate an interesting Japanese way of processing a finished print.
All materials provided so no need to bring anything – but an open mind and willingness to experiment will help.
