Painting Water (Weekend Workshop)

This workshop is about painting water in the landscape – including streams and rivers, lakes and puddles, and the sea!

Because it takes place over a weekend, it will be possible for painters to take time to study and analyse the tones and colours of their source material, and to experiment with them before embarking on the painting itself.

This is not a plein air workshop, but an opportunity to investigate and to try techniques which will result in gaining the confidence to paint outside water in and informed but instinctive way.

Please bring your own materials, perhaps in a variety of media and including rough sketch books, so that you are free to explore the possibilities that arise.
