DESCRIPTION:Come and dip your toes in to the wonderful\, whimsical world of automata (kinetic sculpture) with a one-day workshop hosted by The Quixotorium. \nThis hands-on workshop introduces one of the key stalwarts of automaton mechanisms: the crank. Using recycled\, repurposed and found materials\, you will hand-make all the components to create a unique\, fantastic\, winged creature of your choice which flaps at the turn of a handle. \n \nAll materials and tools are provided and included in price. \nPlease note that this course involves some wire bending and fine (fiddly) work so consideration should be taken by those with weak fingers/wrists and close up glasses will be needed. \ninstagram.com/the_quixotorium
