IMPACT – Four big colour abstracts!
Releasing the Inner Painter: The Elements and the Seasons exploring the connected fields of colour.
This four week dynamic course is about producing abstract, impactful work with intention, reflection, meaning and message. Sally will demonstrate her own various approaches, but encourage you to be free and wild!
Based on mark making and drawing, layers of painting and drawing, eliminating and composing. Taking an instinctive approach using unusual tools to draw and paint with from pencil, ink and charcoal, to twigs, feathers, rags, plastic, rollers and hands. Using acrylic paint, mud/clay, plants grit/glue, oil, acrylic etc!
Personal imagery can be found using drawings, newspaper cuttings, poems and words.
Colour themes aligning to the elements, ie
Fire: Yellows/oranges/
Water: Blues/greens
Earth: Browns/mauves/darks
Air: neutral colour tonal greys/mauves.
Four things will remain with or without us. The elements Fire, Water, Air/Wind and Earth.
